-multi-use spaces can reactivate the dead zone around disconnected Urban Elements while they are not in use
3: Expanding
-The Stadiums on the North Shore are Self-Centric Urban Objects that sit in a sea of parking and pull their focus inward. This investigation will look at ways in which the exteriors of these inward-focused objects can be activated by creating a human-scale, environment around them. The goal is to break down monolithic facades with exterior programming that is flexible enough to accomodate visitors from the surrounding neighborhood during the majority of the year, but a space that can also facilitate the needs of Pittsburgh sports fans.
